The Story of Vedavati Devi.
Vedavati was born in a family of two rishis, Dharmadwaja and Khushadwaja. They were impassioned enthusiasts of Devi Lakshmi. The birth of a girl child by the wife of Kushadwaj was promising to such an extent that were reciting and recounting vedas all around at the hour of her birth thus she was named Vedavati. This Vedavati was really manifestation of Devi Lakshmi. She grew up as a youngster with the sole longing and reason to wed Vishnu Deva. She began performing retributions for it. One day a voice repeated in sky and reported to her that she will achieve her objective of wedding Shri Vishnu in his next symbol and for the time being she can quit doing any further penance.
